In spite of
the disadvantages however, it is realistic to say that it is a
helpful tool for everybody to manage expenses. There’s no
denying it. Credit cards are one of the main tools in
purchasing goods and services today.

You can apply for credit cards directly to the credit card
companies by filing up their information and application
sheets. Thanks to technology, it plays its role again of
providing convenient and easy to use services.

You can now find and apply for credit cards online. By simply
clicking on your mouse, you can now have an access to different
credit card companies available in the internet. You can also
transact business from a multitude of banks available in the
network.

If you have an Internet connection at home, you have the
greatest advantage over other people. Almost a majority of the
banks features an online application system via the Internet.
One good thing about these banks is that they are willing to
approve the credit cards within 30 seconds or even less.

The process of online application is simple. After you
accomplish all the necessary prerequisites that you need to
furnish, the website will send you through email the result of
your application in just a few seconds.

In order for you to find out the types of credit cards that you
can avail, try to search in the net. You have plenty of options.
Every credit card company is obliged to post the entire copy of
their terms and conditions. You can also check on it on the
Internet. Some of the sites do not post their annual charges so
beware about this.

If your problem is your previous bad credit, worry no more
about it. Even in online credit card application, they offer a
special credit card for people with such status. Nevertheless,
there are certain restraints that are set for you unless you
recover from your bad credit record.

As of now, more and more people are applying for credit cards
online. Part of the reason for doing such is the speed and
convenience of doing so. Another reason is that, you can choose
from a wide variety of credit card companies. The sites are
providing all the possible names of the companies that offer
online credit card application.

Credit card application is easy. Everyday, an additional
website posts all the needed information in the net. Therefore,
you will have an access to a huge number of sites, if you want
to shop around, it will be easier for you.

After you have decided on which type of card you want to avail,
you click on the site of the credit card company and fill in
your details. You will be asked about your personal data of
course, be honest as possible in filing it for legality
purposes.

They will check your application, review it and do a credit
assessment. If they find all the information about yourself
satisfying and they believe in your credibility, they will
instantly accept your application. There are some rules that
you also need to comply with credit card online application.
You can find them online in their website. These rules vary
from one credit card company to another.

Like direct application of credit card in credit card
companies, always abide with the regulations that they set for
you. This is also same with your credit card application
online.

About the Author: Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and
great tips regarding all aspects concerning Credit Cards. Have you ever tried to rent a car, or shop online without one? It’s not easy. In fact, with the growth of shopping online, more frequent international travel, and people paying for goods and services over the phone, it is almost vital for an increasing number of people to have access to credit cards.

There are therefore, plenty of valid reasons why anybody would want a credit card these days. Gone are the days when credit cards were seen as the preserve of the rich, or very big spenders, who liked to bankrupt themselves, or spend a fortune on shopping sprees. These days, people need credit cards simply to go about their business without being stuck in situations where they have no methods of payment available to them in an increasing number of situations.

Guaranteed credit cards are a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly popular. It has come to the UK from the United States, as most credit card variations have done. For people with bad credit ratings, guaranteed credit cards are extremely attractive. There are adds on the television, the internet and pretty much everywhere, that guarantee credit cards to everyone that applies for them, regardless of whether or not they seem to be in a position to afford them.

You should approach these offers with great caution. If you think about the steps that most lenders take, you will be forced to become suspicious of guaranteed credit cards. Most lenders carefully assess the risk involved whenever they lend out money. They look at your credit history, how much you earn, how much you owe and many other factors. If they find that you are of high risk, then they will either refuse to lend to you, or change the terms of the credit so that you provide them with extra security or pay higher interest rates or both.

If you hear of credit card providers that seem to be willing to forgo this important step, and simply lend you the money without looking into your finances and credit history at all, then you can be pretty sure that the interest rate will be very high. As well as high interest rates however, there will be other terms and conditions that will be less attractive than usual. You will be subject to very high penalty fees for late payment and these lenders will also be probably very fast to refer you to debt collection agencies. Therefore, if you do opt for this, then be careful, and use the card wisely.

Joe Kenny writes for Credit Card Guide, offering the latest information on credit cards in the UK, visit them today us to apply for [http://www.cardguide.co.uk/transfers.html]balance transfer credit cards and start clearing credit card debt today.

Visit today: http://www.cardguide.co.uk/

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Kenny http://EzineArticles.com/?Guaranteed-Credit-Cards---Use-Them-Wisely&id=213376

Credit Card Equipment

Credit Card Lingo
By Max Hunter

Knowing What’s Out There – And What To Choose

The World of finance can be a tricky game for both the seasoned
veteran and the novice borrower. Banks can – by accident or
design – make even the most simple information seem complicated
and through this unwittingly (or not) induce their customers to
go for products that might not be best suited to their needs.

Credit, charge, ATM and debit cards are not all alike. Although
you might think that they are basically the same thing – a way
of making payment for purchases or means of getting cash – they
are actually quite different. So as to use these cards wisely,
you should know what each one is and how it differs from the
others. Here’s some information to help you choose wisely.

Credit Cards

Credit cards can be a great way of paying for a purchase. They
are easy to apply for, easy to use, and flexible in their
repayment options. However, if you carry a balance, credit
cards can be like very expensive loans.

A credit card works like this: the credit card company supplies
you with a card; you use that card to pay for items and services
up to a certain total amount -- your credit ‘limit.’ The store
or service provider then collects what you owe from the card
issuer, whom you repay. You're then allowed to pay off as much
or almost as little as you like off the balance each month, so
long as you pay a minimum amount each time (usually 2.5 per
cent).

On the outstanding balance you’re charged interest (which can
be as high as 25% or more each year) at the end of each monthly
period, unless you pay the full balance each time your bill
arrives.

Credit cards are immensely profitable for issuers for a variety
of reasons. The high rate of interest yields issuing banks and
companies vast profits – in some cases the bulk of an
institution’s earnings. In addition to the interest, many
companies charge an annual membership fee for a credit card, as
well as a plethora of other charges, including late fees,
over-the-limit fees and other miscellaneous charges. Companies
also profit by charging stores a fee each time a customer uses
a credit card in their establishment.

There are three different types of credit card available:

Unsecured Credit Cards

These cards are commonly made available to those with good
credit history and credit score. These cards require no bank
deposit amounts to secure and usually have no annual fees and
low rate of interest.

Higher Risk Credit Cards

These cards are usually given to people who have a lower paying
job, and/or poor credit history and credit score. Often these
cards charge an activation fee, and also usually charge an
annual fee of up to $80.

Secured Credit Cards

These cards are given to people who have a lower paying job,
and/or a very poor credit history and credit score. Often these
cards require a deposit to be made to the lender, sometimes as
much as near or equal to the amount of credit available on the
card. If the borrower can prove their credit worthiness over
time, that credit limit is then upped. These cards also attract
a high annual fee of up to $100 and charge high rates of
interest.

Charge Cards

Charge cards (also known as travel and entertainment cards) are
slightly from credit cards. The most famous charge cards, such
as American Express and Diners Club, have an unlimited credit
limit. Normally you can charge as much as you like, but you are
required to pay off your balance in full when your bill arrives.

There’s one exception to this: If you charge air fare, cruise
fees or hotel charges booked through a travel agent on an
American Express card, you have an option to pay off your
balance over 36 months. There’s a sting in the tail, however:
you'll be charged around 20 per cent interest and will have to
make minimum monthly payments of $20.

The way charge card companies like American Express make their
profits is by charging very high annual fees – up to $100 – and
by hitting merchants with relatively high charges each time a
customer pays using their card.

If you don't pay your charge card bill in full (unless the
charges are travel expenses on an American Express card),
you'll get a one-month period of grace, when no interest is
charged. Beyond that, however, you'll be charged interest,
which weighs in at about 18 per cent. After about three months,
if your account is still not settled, your account will be
closed and your bill sent to the collections department.

Cash Advances

Some people use their credit or charge cards to obtain cash
advances. This can be an expensive way of accessing cash. Most
banks charge a transaction fee that can be as much as 4% for
taking a cash advance. Interest is also charged from the date
the cash advance is posted, even if it’s paid back in full when
your bill arrives. Moreover, the interest rate is usually higher
on cash advances than on ordinary credit card charges.

ATM & Debit Cards

ATM and debit cards offer most of the same functions as credit
and charge cards, but the crucial difference is that the money
comes out of your bank account straight away. If you don’t have
the money, you can’t buy the product.

For some people this is a preferable option: they like to keep
track of their outgoings, to keep tabs on what they’ve spent,
to avoid any sort of debt – no matter how brief.

There are disadvantages to using debit cards. It doesn’t give
you the option of up to a month to settle your statement. If you're weighing the pros and cons of wireless before taking the leap, here are 5 to put in the "pro" column.

#1: No More Wires

Of all the reasons to switch your network to wireless, this is perhaps the most important. Wires are inconvenient, expensive, dangerous, and downright ugly.

No more wires across the floor improves the safety of your home, since it's easy to trip over exposed wires.

The average Ethernet wire doesn't cost much per foot, but it adds up quickly. To run wires between rooms or floors, you have to knock holes in the walls, which might not even be an option for renters.

Plus when you move you don't have the mess of disconnecting all the wires only to re-connect them at the other end. Nor do you have to examine every wire for damage if your internet connection goes down.

#2: Internet Access For All

Wireless networking gives you a cheap, easy way to share 1 internet connection among multiple computers. You can add new computers to your network simply by plugging in a wireless card and switching them on -- they get an internet connection immediately!

#3: Share Files And Printers

A wireless network gives you access to your files wherever you are, and makes it easy to synchronize the data of a laptop and a desktop computer. It's much easier to send files between computers with a wireless network than by email, or CD.

Plus, with the printer connected, you can also write things wherever you happen to be, press print, and go collect them from a printer connected to another computer. Printers plugged into 1 of the network's computers are shared by all the computers automatically.

#4: Always ON

Broadband revolutionized networking with internet connections being continuously connected -- no need to dial in every time. Wireless networking lets network connections be always-on, so any of your computers can connect to the internet whenever you want. Take laptops from room to room or out on the deck -- they'll have an internet connection. Plus, there's no need for excessive password entry.

#5: Freedom!

With wireless networking, you can even take your computer wherever the signal reaches. Going wireless is much like the switching from the old fashioned wall-mounted telephone to a cellular phone. The freedom is exhilarating.

Visit [http://www.havewireless.com ] Wireless Internet to learn more. If you do your
homework, you could step into some of best credit card deals
offered. Getting a new credit card should not be a spur of the
moment thing. Your credit score can strongly affect your life,
so you should take anything involved with it very seriously.
You should always be well informed about any credit card you
are applying for. This means you may need to ask questions and
read all of the fine print. Use these tips to help you with
your search for great credit card deals.

New Cardholder Incentives

Some of the best credit card deals include new cardholder
incentives. The best credit card deals are those that allow new
cardholders to make purchases for an extended period of time,
without interest charges. Some will offer this for sixty days
while others may offer this deal for up to six months. These
are great because if cardholders wait until they are making a
major purchase, they can save a lot on interest while they
quickly pay it off.

Rewards Programs

Other great credit card deals include rewards programs. Rewards
programs may vary from card to card. Most of them work the same
way however. The more the cardholder uses their card, the more
rewards they will accumulate. Rewards may be in the form of
flight points, cash back, or other miscellaneous prizes. These
are great deals for cardholders that use their cards quite a
bit. Not much is better than being rewarded for spending money.

Interest Rates

Of course everyone looking for a new credit card should
consider good credit card deals involving interest rates. If
you can get a credit card with a low interest rate, then you
are getting a great deal. Many credit cards will hold interest
rates of up to 22%. So, if you can get a lower rate, you are
doing great.

Annual Fees

Take notice of annual fees when looking for credit card deals.
Cards with high annual fees are certainly not worth your time.
The best credit card deals include no annual or monthly fees.
This allows you to be charged nothing if you don’t use your
card. With many people keeping credit cards for emergency
purposes only, this is the best way to go.

Credit card deals usually don’t jump out at you, so they do
require a little research. Make a list of what is important to
you personally when it comes to your credit card and number
them in order of importance. Try to find a credit card that
matches all of those items. When you do find that card, you
know you have found the best credit card deal available for
you.

About the Author: Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and
great tips regarding all aspects concerning Credit Cards. A Credit Card Processing Provider is a company that manages the interface between your credit card terminal or shopping cart software and the Visa/Master network.

Since you are paying a portion of each credit card transaction to your credit card processing provider, it is important that you fully understand the services that your provider offers and how much you are going to pay for these services.

The rate that you will be charged depends upon many factors including the type of product or service you sell and the amount of the average sales transaction. Using this information you can shop around to find a credit card processing provider that offers you the best value for the least money.

For example, if you sell mostly high-ticket items you may be better off finding a provider that will offer you a higher flat-rate transaction fee and a lower discount rate. It may be better for you to pay as much as a $1.00 per-transaction fee when combined with a lower discount if your profit margin can handle it. On the other hand, if you sell a lot of low-priced items, you are better off finding a provider that offers a very low per-transaction fee and a discount rate somewhere in the area of 2.5% or less.

Be Prepared To Pay A Penalty For Poor Credit

If your personal or business credit is below par, you are not going to be able to negotiate much in the way of processing and transaction fees. If that’s the case, look for credit card processing providers that work with people who are in your particular credit situation. But don’t go with the first one that makes you an offer. Even though you may not be able to negotiate, you can still shop around for the best deal.

Look For Technical Integration Issues

Your online ordering software needs to be able to communicate seamlessly with your credit card processing provider’s software through a program that is known as a “Gateway.” Not all providers offer gateways that are compatible with all shopping carts. Make sure that yours is.

Evaluate Your “Risk”

There are a number of credit card processing providers that will not do business with start-up companies or companies that serve certain markets such as the Adult Entertainment or Gambling industry.

Be prepared to pay higher fees if you are in those industries and be prepared to spend some time finding a credit card processing provider that is willing to serve you. The best way to find one that serves your industry is to check your competitors’ sites and see which providers they are using.

Do You Need International Processing?

If your business has a global presence that requires you to handle credit card transactions from outside of your home country, you are going to need an international credit card provider.

Some merchants choose one provider for their domestic transactions and another for their international transactions since the fees are usually higher when the customer is from another country.

Your best advice is to shop around, read the contract carefully and completely before signing, and have your attorney and accountant review all of the paperwork before you commit. That way you’ll know for sure what you are agreeing to and you’ll have a much better chance of running a profitable business when you can control your credit card processing costs.

This article has been provided by Creditor Web. Creditor Web has the articles and other credit card processing resources to help you choose the right provider.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jeremy_Zongker
http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Choose-a-Credit-Card-Processing-Provider&id=455253

Credit Card Equipment

Merchant Credit Card Services
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alison_Cole]Alison Cole

Studies have shown that you can increase your business sales manifold if you accept credit card payments from your customers. This is because most people are not like to carry cash around, and so using their debit card or credit card is their preferred mode of payment. Suppose, you own an online store where people can make orders by the click of the mouse. It follows naturally that you should be also in a position to accept credit card payments online. Then there may be situations where the people would prefer to make their orders by phone. There are companies that give a toll free number and the people can place their orders and give their credit card information based on voice prompts.

To accept credit card payments, you need to have an online merchant account with any financial institution, bank, or acquiring institutions. These institutions will deposit the money accepted through a website into your account. Apart from getting a merchant account, you must also get a payment gateway. As the name itself suggests, the payment gateway is a gateway, actually a code, which processes and validates the credit card information by sending the information provided to the credit card company and gets an accept or decline message. On getting the accept message, the gateway then transmits the amount from the website to the merchant account.

Address verification is the most important aspect of credit card services, as it is essential to fight against credit card fraud. Some credit card companies ask for the CID or the credit card identification digits.

Software such as the IC Verify (DOS winpopup), PCAuthorize (Windows), or MacAuthorize (Mac) These software are required to process the credit cards.

As a merchant, you can accept credit card information on your own website or on the website of the acquiring institutions, with whom you have your merchant account.

This type of payment permits you to attract both impulsive buyers and casual surfers alike. It also guarantees that you get timely payment.

Electronic credit card processing facilities handle orders directly through the Internet. This is normally a complex deal that needs the coordination of many things such as your website, your consumer?s credit card company, a payment gateway, and an account into which credits are deposited. Electronic card processing is safe and secure, and it provides the best customer service.

Three major types of electronic credit card processing are available. The first type uses a virtual machine that allows manual addition of mail. The second type involves a simple integration technique that links your site directly to the credit card and bank system. The third type uses a means for custom-linking your system to other more complex systems using a transaction gateway server.

Credit cards can be processed either in real-time or in a collective manner (batch processing). Electronic credit card processing generally has excellent real-time processing speed. The business is processed instantly and the consumer knows whether or not his card is accepted. But real-time processing has greater risk of fraud, since anybody can use a stolen card before it is reported stolen. Another disadvantage is that you cannot accept any order when the electronic credit card processor's server fails. Batch processing is ideal for smaller businesses. Here, many credit card transactions are processed jointly at a later time. The risk of fraud is moderately low.

Today, many companies offer fast, reliable and safe electronic credit card processing services. Each will work with almost all major credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. You know how it goes. You register for a show, set up your booth, and over the course of the event you find that lots of customers want to buy your products. If you are stuck making change for cash payments or trying to decide whether to accept a personal check, you could spend a lot of time and lose many customers in the process. Those who prefer to pay by plastic will head to your competitors’ booths where they can swipe a card and be on their way in a few moments’ time. With a credit payment processor, you can be the one swiping the plastic and ringing up the sale. So how can you get set up to receive credit card payments at a trade show? It all starts with a merchant services account.

If you are exploring whether to accept credit card at trade show possibilities, you should consider opening a merchant services account. Many banks or other financial institutions offer this commercial-grade company account. They will often let you submit an application over the Internet at their Websites and get back to you with an answer in a day or two. When your application is approved, you can take advantage of the great financing options that the bank will provide in underwriting a credit processing account so that you can accept credit card payments from your customers either on-site or at a remote location, such as a trade show. Simply buy, lease, or rent a wireless credit processor and take it with you to the show. Your customers will love the convenience of using plastic over cash, and you will love adding up profits at the end of the day.

When you decide to accept credit card at trade show options, your journey into e-commerce should be smooth and clear. If a problem should arise, you can report it to the service technician who is responsible for maintaining your equipment. If you buy the unit outright, however, you may want to consider purchasing an accompanying service agreement in case a glitch should develop. Take your wireless unit to the trade show with you, set it up in a safe place where it won’t fall or get damaged, and put up a sign, if you have one, alerting customers to this credit paying option. If you also have a company Website, you may want to hand out fliers with your Web address on it so they can visit online to make additional purchases, using their credit card paying ability at that location as well, assuming you have set up your site to receive secure credit payments.

Going to the trade shows is a great way to see and be seen by customers and competitors. Imagine taking your credit processing equipment to facilitate sales while there. Give some serious thought to reasons that will benefit both company and clients as to why you should accept credit card at trade show options.

Shane Penrod is the founder of http://www.Merchant-Account-Quotes.com Specializing in allowing merchants the ability to shop and compare multiple quotes from national merchant account providers. This is because many consumers make their purchases using their credit cards, and establishments who do not accept credit card payments risks losing potential sales. Given this, it is then essential for any company that intends to sell products in the market to make sure that their stores can accept credit payments. There’s good news, though! Today, accepting credit cards is usually a fairly easy process because companies can gain access to the tools that they need to be able to process credit card payments from a number of sources.

Setting up a merchant account

The first step in accepting credit cards is setting up a merchant account. This will involve locating the right merchant account provider or credit card processor. Many businesses do this through the banks where they do their business banking. However, not all banks provide credit card processing services.

A good source of information is any trade associations that a business belongs to, which may have negotiated rates with a certain credit card processor that the business could contact. Another good source of leads is from other businesses that already accept credit card payments. On the other hand, given that most processors aggressively pursue clients especially start up companies, it is most likely that these processors will contact new business owners and offer them their services.

In deciding on which credit card processor to use, it is a good idea to employ canvassing strategies, which includes interviewing each credit processor and asking them questions that can help business owners pick the right processor. Some of these questions include asking them about their fees, their rates, and other services that they provide their clients. After which, business owners then should analyze which processor can give them the best deal for the credit card processing services that they are offering.

Nowadays, no business establishment should be without credit card processing capabilities. This is because given that most people make many of their purchases using their credit cards, establishments that do not accept credit card payments risk losing a significant number of sales. Or the New
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cruise. Or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie if and
when they ‘fess up. Today, thanks to inflation, terrorist
threats, the euro going up and the dollar going down, citizens
of the United States of America realize in horror that they are
just a statistic in a financial report. Their horrific situation
is utterly ordinary. They’re broke. And what do the government
have to say? Get over it and go back to work.

So that’s where debt consolidation comes along. The credit card
is an amazing thing because it lets you spend so much. Actually,
it lets you spend money that you don’t really have. But in the
end, well that’s when it gets tricky. Credit card bills start
knocking on your door and you find yourself wondering if you
really spent all that or was it your alter ego holding the
credit card in a trip to Macy’s. But of course it was you. And
since borrowing more from your bank is totally out of the
question, you have to take the next option available and that
could be debt consolidation.

Debt consolidation is where you gather all your bills together,
credit card bills especially because they’re somehow more
harrowing than the others, grab a calculator and add them all
up. When you’re done, you present this to the representative of
a debt consolidation company and see how he or she works out
everything.

Now, don’t start thinking that debt consolidation is like a
modern fairy godmother out to make your credit card bills
disappear in one big poof. Sorry, folks but this is reality and
things don’t work out quite that way. Sadly, your credit card
bills would remain visible and concrete, proof that you owe
loads of money to several financial institutions. And that’s
when the debt consolidation rep you’re talking to comes in.
First, she’ll ask you your budget and just how much you can
afford right now. Debt consolidation companies have to know
about their clients’ financial history to be able to negotiate
more competently with their clients’ creditors. They have to
know how much you’re earning, how many credit cards you have,
what loans and bills are there to be paid off etc. When that’s
done, these debt consolidation companies then approach the
people behind the bills: the creditors, in other words. They
talk to the managers behind that credit card bill staring at
you so accusingly from your office desk. They ask if it’s
possible to give you some more leeway so you have an
opportunity to continue paying them. If you go bankrupt,
neither would win. Debt consolidation representatives can make
the interest rates of your credit card bills lower, the monthly
payments decrease, the payoff time shorten and so on.

The important thing to know before choosing this particular
tandem approach however is being sure that you can really work
things out this way. If you feel that using debt consolidation
to pay off your debts, like credit card bills, is just like
papering cracks on the walls then don’t do it. You’ll simply be
worse off. Debt consolidation, like most things, requires
determination, self-control and dedication. And if you are
incapable of any of those qualities then my advice is to find
another solution.

About the Author: Diego HR. is the owner of My Debt
Consolidation Advisor http://www.mydebt-consolidation.biz/ and
invites you to take a download free helpful information,
articles, and more.

Source: http://www.isnare.com

Credit Card Equipment

Credit Card Machine Buying Tips
By John Morris

The credit card is preferred by most people when paying for purchases and services because of its safety, security and ease of use. The use of credit cards is growing exponentially fueled by the growth of e-commerce and the increasing usage of credit cards in business-to-business transactions. Accepting credit cards in a business has many advantages. Not only will it help expand your consumer base, it will also provide an easier and more convenient alternative to paying by cash or check. When you accept credit cards, funds can be transferred to your bank account as soon as possible. If you are planning to sell online, accepting credit cards is a necessity.

Credit card processing equipments essential to any business, especially in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. In whatever business, the exploding use of credit cards and debit cards necessitates an investment on a reliable and secure credit card machine. There are a number of companies you can consider when shopping for a credit card processor such as banks, third party credit card processors, independent sales organizations, financial service providers and associations. Inquire about credit card processing equipment and make an informed choice when you decide to purchase.

I. Pervasive Technology

Credit card machines are being used extensively in almost every store and restaurant. These equipments are of great help to businesses as they process credit cards efficiently and securely. There is a huge variety of credit card processing equipment available in the market today and picking the right one appropriate for your business can be a challenge. If you are in the market for a credit card processing equipment, there are some simple tips you can follow to help you find the perfect credit card machine that will serve your intended purpose excellently. With the plethora of credit card machine options available, you might find it hard to decide on what credit card machine to buy. Here’s a simple guide to buying a credit card machine.

II. Buying Advice:

1. Buy, Don't Lease

Credit card machines are not really that costly, usually at the $100-$1000 price range. Consider a credit card machine as a worthwhile investment in your business. Although, there are credit card machine leases available from some merchant account providers. Leasing a credit card terminal may cost you much more in the long run than buying your own unit.

2. Get Battery Backup

Be prepared for any eventuality. In case your store or business establishment experiences a power interruption, you would still want to be able to process customer transactions. Buy a credit card machine with a reliable backup battery to ensure that you can continue to do business even when you lose electrical power.

3. Purchase A Credit Card Machine With A Fast Modem

Credit cards are supposed to make transactions faster and more convenient. Thus, a fast modem that can send data and authorize transactions quickly is a top requirement in a credit card machine. You might shell out more for a credit card machine with a 9600-baud modem, but it is worth the money and our customers will definitely appreciate it too.

4. Ensure It Can Handle Smart Cards

Smart cards are becoming increasingly popular and are considered the future of credit cards. Smart cards include credit, debit, and other information in a card with a microchip in it instead of a magnetic stripe.

5. Flash Memory Is Recommended

For better functionality, choose a credit card machine that use flash memory to store the operating software. This will allow for convenient software downloads and installation and increase the longevity of the equipment.

6. Ensure It Can Handle Debit Transactions

Some customers might prefer paying by debit. For this purpose, you will need a credit card machine with a built-in PIN keypad. You can also consider a separate PIN keypad which your customers can access easily while keeping the credit card processing equipment out of reach.

7. Get An Imprinter As A Backup

This could prove useful in case your store or business establishment loses power or phone service. You can still continue to do business even if you are in the field processing customer transactions.

For more great credit card machine related articles and resources check out http://www.creditcardmachinehq.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Morris
http://EzineArticles.com/?Credit-Card-Machine-Buying-Tips&id=151575

Credit Card Equipment

Credit Card Skimming
By Michael Russell

Credit card skimming is an international problem accounting for losses of over one-billion dollars a year. This type of credit card scam is common in Europe, Asia and Latin America and is starting to show up more in the United States.

This scam is easy to run - it can happen when you give your credit card to a store employee to make a purchase. That employee may not only swipe your card for payment, but also swipe the card with a small machine they hold in their hand known as a skimmer. This small device will store the information from your card into its system. The skimmer is equipped to hold information on hundreds of credit cards and from this information, the crooks are able to produce counterfeit cards.

There are skimming rings working all over the world and once your information is put into the skimmer, it is then downloaded into a computer, ready to be emailed to anyone worldwide.

A decade ago, this fraud was not as easy to accomplish as it is today, due to the fact skimmers were very large and had to be hidden under counters. However, with the advance of technology in the past ten years, they have been able to streamline the skimmer, making it small enough to be hand-held and out of sight of the unwary customer making a purchase. These skimmers are easy to buy; in fact, they can be purchased over the internet at around $300. The machine needed to make counterfeit credit cards is a much larger investment - costing $5,000 to $10,000.

Another form of this scam is done by actually pulling information directly from the credit card terminals. A skimmer bug is placed into the terminal and later retrieved with credit card information on it. Only the older terminals can be violated in this way and with the onset of new credit card terminals, this has alleviated much of this bugging.

As soon as the crooks have their needed information on you, they will start their shopping sprees using your credit card number. They purchase all types of merchandise and charge it to your credit card. Over half of credit card fraud is done over the internet with online purchases. With shopping on the internet becoming more and more popular, card fraud on the internet has also increased.

The crooks will also use the internet to verify the card information is valid. They will purchase many low-ticket items through various websites, checking to see if the card is active. Internet processing of card purchases is done by real-time processing and not handled by a person; thus, no chance of them being caught trying to use a stolen card number.

The cardholder is a victim of this crime and is responsible for up to $50 of the total amount charged on his card, while the real victim in all of this is the merchant whose employee did the skimming. The merchant is held 100% responsible and risks losing the merchandise, and is responsible for paying the fees of the investigation. Investigation fees paid by consumers and businesses in 2003 amounted to an estimated half-billion dollars in annual revenue for credit card companies. This money is used by the card companies to offset costs to investigate charge back claims by their customers.

The crook who perpetrates this card fraud, for the most part, goes unpunished. There is a limit of $2,000 before a criminal investigation can be started; the crooks know this and will not exceed $2,000 on their purchases from any one business. Thus, they are pretty much free to continue to victimize consumers and businesses.

Michael Russell

Your Independent guide to Credit Cards

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell
http://EzineArticles.com/?Credit-Card-Skimming&id=363585

You
also don't have the right to withhold payment with a debit card
(the money is immediately removed from the account) in the event
of a dispute with the merchant over the goods or services paid
for. Some banks and merchants also charge transaction fees for
the use of debit cards.

About the Author: Max Hunter is the author of many credit
related articles. Or the New
Mr. and Mrs.

Mobile Credit Card Processing Equipment
By Thomas Morva

In today's business environment, credit card processing equipment is an essential tool for completing an online transaction. Compared to traditional credit card processing services, mobile credit card processing ensures faster payment, increases overall sales and credibility, and saves a lot of money. A well maintained mobile credit card processing equipment is a must for such transactions. Mobile credit card machines are useful for those merchants who like to take their business to the customers. The functioning of a mobile credit card machine is simple. By swiping the customer's credit card through the mobile credit card processing equipment, all the transaction processes are done automatically in real time. When the merchant gets the authorization, a printed receipt is given to the customer.

Mobile credit card processing equipment helps in accepting payments through online credit cards as well as by telephone. With its state-of-the-art technology, mobile credit card processing equipment provides a secure payment gateway that enables fraud screening and also real time reporting of every transaction. For an online transaction, only a virtual terminal is needed. This enables you to get all the services through the Internet.

Mobile credit card processing equipment has certain added advantages when compared to traditional wireless merchant accounts. They include low monthly charges, low processing fee and no monthly minimum processing charge. Today, the wireless mobile credit card processing equipment is the latest in convenience and portability.

Many business concerns sign a contract with mobile credit card processing equipment companies for their services. These contracts might be for 2 to 5 years, a fact which is often unknown to the firm. Consequently, if a firm needs to terminate a contract, a cancellation fee is charged by these companies. So care should be while choosing the services of such companies.

Credit Card Processing provides detailed information on Credit Card Processing, Online Credit Card Processing, Credit Card Processing Software, Wireless Credit Card Processing and more. Over the past few years I have tried just about every possible system out there to make money online, from using EBay to actually trying to create my own product. The results? Nada, nothing, zilch! Thousands of dollars latter I found myself just giving up. I received enough information to make my eyes bleed and head throb. I subscribed to so many guru lists that I was forced to create alternate email addresses just to get rid of all the spam.

Every new product that came out generated hundreds of emails to me from dozens of so-called experts selling it to me. I took me a little while to realize that the only people making the money were the guys that took other peoples info, repackaged it and sold it to idiots like me! Can you say tech dummy? That is me in a nutshell. I am a banker, accountant, and mortgage loan officer. I am also a dreamer like you. I want the best that life offers. Give me the tools to achieve my dreams and I will run with them. I have absolutely no ability to absorb all of the tricks, techniques and ideas sent to me. It is all just over my head.

I have never been one to give up, so I began to focus on just one area. Affiliate Marketing became my vehicle to creating wealth. I signed up with click bank and joined over 30 different programs. I made a few dollars but realized that I was not capturing the information that I needed to build a long term income stream. Short term profits were okay, but they did not last and required constant work to maintain. By sending my customers to an affiliate product web site, I was basically giving them my customers forever. I was missing the opportunity to market other products to them in the future.

Eventually I stumbled upon an amazing internet marketer, who seemed to be able to focus his teachings like a laser beam into my brain. He recommended a product that had all of the elements I needed. The name of the program is Simple Money Machines. Simple Money Machines may not be what you need if you are a total technology nerd. If you are tech savvy, like me, then this could be your ticket to financial freedom!

Simple Money Machines is a new platform that allows someone with no technological abilities what-so-ever to set up a complete online business. You do not need to host an account, no software to purchase and learn, no worrying about back ups and no expensive testing required. Simple Money Machines does it all.

Here is a little bit of what Simple Money Machines includes

Web site creation using WYSIWYG for either an affiliate marketing site or an e-book marketing site

Auto-responder so that you can capture email addresses, build your own list and send future promotions. This is critical to your success. The key to developing a long-term internet income is in the list. Every large marketer online has one and use it to generate future sales. The auto-responder feature is used to send periodic emails to your customers. You determine what to send and when to send it.

Headline generator to create effective headlines

Web page video to increase conversions

Web page audio. You can create a message to your prospects using your home phone

Split-testing: Allows you to track conversions of different versions of your site

Opt-in Page also known as a Squeeze Page. It is an excellent way to develop an email list and it provides you with the ability to offer a bonus to your subscribers just for looking at your site

Traffic tracking software that lets you analyze the source and costs of different traffic options

Credit card processing and tracking

Simple Money Machines is unlike any other business-in-a-box program. The primary purpose of the program is to promote the affiliate programs YOU are excited about. You can use it to market your own e-book product. It lets you focus on the Marketing, and not on the programming. You can be up and running in under 1 hour. My first site was running thirty minutes after I joined the program. The program comes with a wonderful manual to guide you step by step on what to do.

You can sign up for the program for $ 1.00 for a 2 week trial. The trial will give you the ability to create up to five individual web sites promoting anything you want!

$ 1.00! There is absolutely no risk.

So there you have it. It is now up to you to drive the traffic to your new website. That is actually the easiest part. The internet is filled with tried and true methods to drive traffic such as pay-per-click, ezine article submissions, or any creative method you can devise.

Are you ready? Congratulations! You are now in business for yourself!

Anthony Fontana has been a banker and tax accountant for almost 30 years. Adams

Accepting credit card payments on your web site is very important if you want to increase sales. Many people are less trusting of web sites that do not accept credit cards, because it makes your web site appear less professional. Also you will possibly lose business, because a person might want to make a purchase immediately, and can only use a credit card to do so. If they have to wait to mail a check or a money order, then they might decide that they do not need your product that badly after all. Once a person decides to make a purchase you want to make it as easy as possible for them to complete their intended purchase.

The idea of accepting credit card payments on your web site might seem like a daunting task, but it can be quite easy if you use a third party merchant to accept credit card payments for you. Many third party merchants exist for the sole purpose of accepting credit card payments online. You will definitely want to research these merchants and choose the merchant that fits your web site and your budget best. However you want to make sure the merchant is reputable, because many cases of credit card fraud exist on the web today. Many of these merchants will charge a setup fee as well as a per transaction fee. It is usually better to accept a larger setup fee than to accept a larger per transaction fee.

There are many reasons to use a third party merchant for accepting credit card payments on your web site. When dealing with a person’s credit card information you need to be very careful that this information is secure. Third party merchants have already created implementations of accepting credit card payments that are secure. Finding the programs and
incentives that works best for you is key to maintaining a good
credit card history.

Each type of credit card offer different benefits. Some are
geared toward the individual consumer, while others are set up
to work for small businesses. To find the type of card that
best fits your needs, let's review some of the options.

Business Cards

A business credit card offers the business owner an opportunity
to keep business and personal expenses separate. The card may
offer special business rewards and saving opportunities that go
above and beyond what the individual card owner has. Since money
management is essential for running a business successfully,
this card may offer an expense management service that helps
track outgoing money. You can obtain additional cards for
employees who may need them for travel expenses and such. You
may also have a higher credit limit than you normally would on
an individual card.

Student Cards

Many credit card companies will issue student cards with lower
credit limits and fewer incentives, helping new card users to
keep their spending in check. However, note that many college
students now graduate with credit balances averaging from
$3,000 to $7,000. With high interest rates, these debts can be
a real problem to pay off.

Debit Cards

Prepaid debit cards are 1 type of credit card that has grown
significantly in recent years. Although it works like a
traditional credit card when making a purchase, that is where
the similarity ends. With a prepaid debit card, you actually
set the credit limit yourself by depositing money into the
debit card’s account. The amount you deposit determines the
credit limit on that card. This is a great way to have the
convenience of a credit card without the possibility of
charging more than you can afford to pay off.

Cards for Bad Credit

Even with bad credit, it is possible to obtain a credit card.
These cards come with some restrictions not typically found on
other types of cards. Your credit limit will be lower and your
interest rate higher. Some may require you to have a secured
card, meaning you have to maintain a savings or some other type
of account that will cover the expenses on the credit card. Once
you have established that you will be responsible in your credit
handling, some, if not all, of your restrictions may be lifted.

Cash Back Cards

Many cards will now offer you cash-back incentives for using
their cards. Depending on how much your balance is, and how
often you use the card, you can earn cash back for your
purchases. Some companies offer 1% off your balance while
others, like Sears, will offer you cash off purchases made in
their store. Either way, if you are planning on using a card,
finding one that will offer you a cash incentive is a smart
choice.

Low-Interest Cards

One of the more recent additions to the credit card world is
the low-interest credit card. These cards offer a significantly
lower interest rate than most of the older cards you may already
have. As balance-transfer cards, most of them offer you the
option of transferring a balance from a higher interest rate
card and, for a specified period of time, your transferred
balance will be at either 0% interest or something quite low.
This can save you a fair amount of money if your plan is to pay
it off.

Reward and Incentive Cards

Since credit cards have become such a lucrative business, many
corporations have jumped on the bandwagon. Even airlines now
offer credit cards that come with a certain amount of frequent
flyer miles attached, depending on your balance and purchases.
If you do a fair amount of traveling, this can be a real bonus.
Along these same lines, reward credit cards are growing in
popularity. Competition is stiff, and many card companies are
now offering different reward or incentive options for using
their cards. Once you accumulate enough points, the rewards
pour in. These can be anything from travel insurance to small
appliances. If you use a card regularly, finding one with a
reward program can really pay off.

Instant Approval Cards

Another form of credit card is the instant approval card. Once
you fill out the application, a quick background check will be
done and you will have your approval almost immediately.
Regular cards can take up to 2 weeks to process. Although you
can get instant approval, this does not always mean you can get
instant credit. Some companies will supply you with a temporary
credit card number and allow you to begin making purchases
immediately, while others will not, due to an increase in
credit card fraud potential.

Protect Your Credit

Since there are so many options in choosing a credit card, you
should do a little research before you apply. Decide what type
of card best fits your needs and apply for that one. Don't go
overboard, though. Applying for too many cards will negatively
affect your credit rating.

And, above all, once you get your new credit card, use it
responsibly.

About the Author: Ron King is a full-time researcher, writer,
and web developer. In spite of
the disadvantages however, it is realistic to say that it is a
helpful tool for everybody to manage expenses. There’s no

The most common form of payment is through merchant credit card. Marketing studies indicate that if a site is not made to accept credit cards, it would lose 60-80% of its potential orders. A direct merchant credit card account is one of the best ways for any business to boost sales.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_iGzAhrci0rs/RjLsKUnWe_I/AAAAAAAAACs/DREbQKE7dD4/s320/148_XD2000_b+wire+cre+car+mnac.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5058364993567095794" />

Direct merchant credit card applications are somewhat complex in nature. It is not like setting up a consumer credit card application. It is entirely different from opening a business checking account. Direct merchant credit card is a special banking account used for handling the income from credit card deals. The merchant account issuer confirms the credit card, processes the transaction, and deposits the balance into your account normally within 24 to 48 hours.

In general, there are two ways to apply for a credit card - a paper copy application and an online credit card application. Online application is the easiest and fastest way to get a credit card. While applying for a credit card online, it is necessary to check whether the website offers a safe means to protect your private details.

There are three types of merchant account fees. The first is an initial setup fee required to approve and set up your account. The second is the percentage fee which is a proportion of each credit card transaction depending on your total volume of sales. It is inversely proportional to the sales volume. The last one is a monthly service fee, which includes the cost of any credit card processing equipment, software or services. These fees differ from credit card company to company.

Credit Card Applications provides detailed information on Credit Card Applications, Online Credit Card Applications, Student Credit Card Applications, Instant Credit Card Applications and more. This resin is then mixed with other materials, such as dyes and plasticizers to give it the appropriate look and feel.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_iGzAhrci0rs/RjLsp0nWfAI/AAAAAAAAAC0/GF1Zkst-tCM/s320/s91+cre+car+prose+macines%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5058365534732975106" />

A variety of inks or dyes, in various colors, are also used for printing credit cards. These inks and dyes are especially made for use on plastic. Special magnetic ink is also available to print the magnetic stripe (magstripe) on the rear side of the card. The inks are made by dispersing metal oxide particles in the appropriate solvents. Card issuers, such as VISA, which have their own holograms, use additional special printing processes which are involved for cards, like VISA, with featured holograms.

The manufacturing of the credit card takes place in the following steps:

1. Plastic compounding and molding: The plastic for the core sheet is made my melting PVCA with other materials. This molten mixture is put in the appropriate molding equipment, and is flattened to the right thickness by passing it through rollers. This sheet is then allowed to cool down.

2. Printing: Each card sheet is then printed with text as well as graphics. Silk screening and magnetic ink printing are the processes used. The magnetic strip can also be created using hot stamping. Magnetic heads are used to code and decode the iron particles in the strip, so that relevant information can be stored in them. However, the magnetic particles can only be useful if they are on the surface of the card, therefore this step is performed after the lamination.

3. Lamination: Essentially, lamination protects the card, and improves its strength. Lamination is done on both sides of the card.

4. Cutting and Embossing: After lamination, each sheet is cut into a set of cards. Each sheet gives a yield of around 63 cards. The sheet is first cut into seven sections longitudinally, and then each of the seven sections is cut into nine cards. Each card is now a separate credit card, and will be embossed with account numbers, and other information. The cards are now ready for shipment to the cardholders! Each card has to be of the premium quality. Customers cannot be given cards which will break or be damaged after a certain period of time. Key quality issues are linked with the compounding of plastic and color matching of the inks. The American National Standards Institute has a standard for plastic raw materials (ANSI specification x4.16-1973). Ingredients have to be correctly weighed, mixed and blended under the proper temperatures and other manufacturing conditions. Similarly, the molding process must be scrutinized to avoid flaws and defects, which could cause the cards to crack or rupture. The final quality check is to make sure the right numbers are stamped on the cards through the embossing process.

The many evolving technologies in this area will help create the credit cards with better quality and make them more cost effective in terms of manufacturing. New generations of credit cards might carry integrated computer chips, containing a variety of valuable information, making the card more useful, as well as secure.

Richard Gilliland Provides Expert opinions and reviews to help you Compare and Apply for a Credit Card - Compare Credit Card Offers with Credit-Wisdom.com - Unraveling the best in credit cards.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Richard_Gilliland
http://EzineArticles.com/?Ever-Wonder-How-Credit-Cards-Are-Made?---Manufacturing-Credit-Cards:-Materials-And-Processes&id=527352

Credit Card Equipment

Is There Something Called A Bad Credit Credit Card?
By Terje Ellingsen

Is there something out there called a bad credit credit card?
Well, when a bank or Credit company such as Bank of America,
Washington Mutual or Chase receive an application from you,
they use a statistical system to determine whether or not to
grant credit to you by assigning numerical scores to various
characteristics related to creditworthiness. This means the
creditor's measure of your past and future ability and
willingness to repay your debts. This system is based on your
credit history, which is a record of how you have borrowed and
repaid debts. If this record shows late payments, skipping
payments, exceeding card limits or declaring bankruptcy you are
considered a person with "bad credit".

Then you're condemned, you're hopeless.. Nobody will ever lend
you money or give you a credit card anymore, you may think but
then you should think again. Even people with horrible credit
histories who have been in a financial mess because of previous
debt can get credit card offers. So, the answer to the question
I asked in the beginning of this article is "Yes": You can get
a secured or prepaid credit card.

Banks and other credit companies need customers, even thoses in
a bad financial situation. So these secured or prepaid cards
offers are specifically targeted to help people with poor
credit, so that they too can have all the benefits that follows
such a card.

What distinguise a secured card from an unsecured is that the
card's account is usually related to a savings account. This is
the way the card is secured. Let's say you have $1,000 in your
account, then your credit limit will be $1,000. With this build
in security, you will never be brought into a debt situation
again. After using this card for a while, most banks or finance
companies will gradually grant you credit that exceeds your
saving account balance and you will at the same time repair
your credit history. This bad credit credit card is a great
offer, that you should take advantage of if you have a messy
financial history and want to rebuild your credit.

About the Author: Terje Brooks Ellingsen is a writer and
internet publisher.

100% Refinance Mortgage For Consolidation And Other Purposes
By Sarah Dinkins

Obtaining finance by this means is probably one of the cheapest ways of funding your needs. The interest rates you can obtain with mortgage loans are the lowest of the loan market and if you happen to refinance by a lower rate than the one you agreed to with your previous loan, you can save thousands of dollars at the same time.

Inexpensive Source of Funds

Refinance mortgage loans can provide funds with reduced interest rates and by obtaining a longer repayment program you can make sure that the loan installments are low enough so you can afford them without hassles. That’s why the additional funding you can obtain with cash-out refinance loans is perfect for consolidation purposes.

Since these loans provide a fair amount of extra cash, you can use the exceeding amount to pay off outstanding debt. Chances are that this debt is mostly unsecured and thus, you’ll be replacing expensive debt (especially if it is composed mainly of credit card and store card debt) with a cheap loan and end up with a single monthly payment.

Obtaining A Lower Interest Rate

If market conditions have improved since you obtained the previous mortgage loan or if your credit and income situations improved, it is possible that you may obtain a lower interest rate on your refinance home loan. This implies that you may be able to save thousands of dollars over the whole life of the loan.

A mere interest rate reduction of a single point can save you a lot of money. For example: A 7% APR home loan will cost you $700 every $10.000 each year. If the loan has a repayment program of 25 years, it will cost you: $17.500. However, if you can obtain a 6% APR instead, you will be saving $100 every $10.000 each year and thus, on the long run, you’ll save $2.500. For a $100.000 loan, this implies savings of up to $25.000.

Debt Consolidation And Other Purposes

As explained above, these loans are perfect for consolidating debt. They provide cheap funding with which you can replace expensive outstanding debt and obtain a single and lower monthly payment you won’t have trouble affording. However, even if you don’t need to consolidate, there are other purposes that the money can have.

Since these loans provide inexpensive funding any purchases or projects that usually need higher rate loans can be replaced with them thus saving thousands of dollars. For example, you can use the money to finance a home business project, purchase business equipment like computers, finance the purchase of a car or motor vehicle, etc. Whatever purpose you have in mind, 100% refinance home mortgages can provide you with extra funding at very low interest rates.

Sarah Dinkins is an Expert Loan Consultant at Badcreditfinancialexperts.com where you can find other financial articles.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Sarah_Dinkins
http://EzineArticles.com/?100%-Refinance-Mortgage-For-Consolidation-And-Other-Purposes&id=509951

Credit Card Equipment

Credit Cards That Are A Credit To Any Business
By Joseph Kenny

Business credit cards can come to mean a lot to any business and can even be used to reduce costs and manpower. They can also, if used properly, be used to get savings on your purchases and simplify paperwork. Here are some ways that you can use a business credit card so that it can be an asset to your business.

Simplifies Accounting

Have you ever found that employees lose receipts, or do not supply you with adequate details of purchases? Or, has the accounting department ever misplaced receipts? By giving your key employees business credit cards you can eliminate the receipt system altogether, because all charges can be put on a single monthly statement for your company - if you want it. This would greatly reduce man-hours in the accounting department - and make it so much simpler for reimbursements to be made, too.

Keeps You Informed

In addition to this, your online account enables you to see what is being spent each day. This gives you visibility of the daily transactions made by all your employees, as well as totals charged on the account. Balances can also be seen enabling you to avoid overcharging your business credit card. You also may have the option to be able to limit the amount of expenses charged by your employees.

Earns Rewards

By selecting a card related to large expenses made, such as gas, or air miles, office equipment, etc., you can save a lot of money. Most of these cards are geared toward the small business owner, which may make it even more appealing if you fit in that category. By using a business credit card, you can reduce your monthly expenses on many things, and get cash back, or discounts on other products, Some credit card companies give free office equipment and supplies as a bonus. An example of how you can get savings is if you put all your gas onto the gas credit card of a gas company that you already use all the time.

By putting all of your business expenses on a card from one company, all of your individual expenses can bring a lot of rebates, or cash back. If your card focuses on traveling, then your rewards could come in the form of free hotel stays, cruises, flights and possibly points that can be used toward new vehicles. Some business credit cards will put on your account as many as 10,000 points with your first purchase.

Make Balance Transfers

If your business has any existing credit card debt, you could have the option of being able to transfer it to your credit card with 0% APR interest. Most business credit cards, however, will charge a rather small percent of interest, though.

Compare Business Cards

Take the necessary time to be able to find a good card - one that will meet your needs. Business credit cards usually come with annual fees, but these will vary quite a bit. Also, many business cards do come with interest rates - and many do not, so, you will want to look at the fine print carefully.

Joe Kenny writes for the OnlyStop.com, offering online mortgage applications, visit today for more credit cards and start clearing credit card debt today.

Visit today: http://www.onlystop.com/

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Kenny
http://EzineArticles.com/?Credit-Cards-That-Are-A-Credit-To-Any-Business&id=398669

Credit Card Equipment

How Web Masters Can Start a Home Based Business Using Credit Cards
By Claire Bowes

If you’re a webmaster who has been itching to start a home based business and you are experiencing some cash flow problems and are considering leaving your dreams by the wayside, don’t. Credit cards may be your answer. Now before you start feeling guilty about using your credit cards for some much needed cash flow and before you antagonize over this issue because of “debt”, let me assure you that credit cards may be your key to success when you use them wisely.

This isn’t to say that you should go out and run up your cards up to the limit simply because they are there. Instead, we’re saying that credit cards http://www.the-credit-card-shop.co.uk/ are not all bad, credit card companies aren’t the devil and if you use your cards smartly then they can help jump start your fledging business’ finances or get you out of a cash crunch. However, the key is to learn how to use credit cards to your advantage and not your disadvantage. With this in mind, we have provided you with the top five tips that will help you use your credit cards wisely:

First and foremost, you should realize that carrying cards have some advantages. Here are some major ones that you should be aware of:

Credit allows you to buy needed supplies instantly instead of waiting until later;

You can spread out the cost of expensive equipment like software and computers;

You can learn to cleverly float cards and get months of interest free loans if you choose the right card and use it correctly;

When you use cards, your purchases are insured;

Credit cards allow you to keep track of miscellaneous purchases and expenses;

You can earn points and other rewards simply for using the card;

Credit cards help you budget your money. You get a single limit and once that is exceeded then you will be declined so you’ll be encouraged to keep track of how much limit you have.

Second, you have to find a card that has a great rate and/or the best benefits for you. For instance, if you will pay off the balance every month but travel a lot then you might want to consider a card with a higher interest rate that gives more frequent flier miles since you will not be affected by the interest rate when you can’t pay off the credit card balance every month. On the other hand, if you can’t pay your balance every month, you should consider the card with a lower interest rate. http://the-credit-card-shop.co.uk/low-interest-credit-cards.htm

Once you’ve found an appropriate card, you should make a commitment to pay your balance responsibly. That is, you should only charge the amount that you can realistically pay in a month or so and make a point not to rack up a ton of credit card debt.

You should really try and avoid using your credit card to get cash advances. This is because most companies charge cash advance fees which could hurt you. However, an exception to this would be if you have an emergency and need to handle a cash crunch then you should use the least amount possible.

Review your statements as soon as you get them to evaluate interest rates. Make sure that you don’t see any errors and if you do then report them right away.

In conclusion, you shouldn’t feel guilty about using your credit cards to help you start or finance your fledging web business. Instead, you should use the above-mentioned tips and use your cards responsibly so that they continue to be a blessing when you need them!

About The Author

Claire Bowes is a successful freelance writer and owner of the Credit Card Centre http://www.the-credit-card-centre.co.uk/ where you will find further advice and tips on the best credit card deals http://the-credit-card-centre.co.uk/best-credit-cards.html , 0% credit cards and small business credit cards. http://the-credit-card-centre.co.uk/business-credit-cards.html.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Claire_Bowes
http://EzineArticles.com/?How-Web-Masters-Can-Start-a-Home-Based-Business-Using-Credit-Cards&id=11643

Credit Card Equipment

Merchant Account Fees to Business Owners
By Debbie Dragon

As a business owner, when you set up a merchant account to enable your customers the ability to pay for your products or services using credit cards (or debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard Logo), you will have some fees associated with the credit card transactions.

The specific fee amounts that you pay will depend on the merchant account provider you select to provide your credit card processing service; however, there is a list of typical fees that the majority of providers charge business owners in exchange for the ability to accept credit as payment.

Discount Rates

Visa and MasterCard have what is called “interchange” rates. They range in price- so in order to make it easier, the merchant providers created three categories.

Qualified Discount Rate – a percentage is paid from each dollar charged.

Mid-Qualified Rate – does not apply to merchants that manually enter transactions.

Non-Qualified Rate – added to the qualified rate n certain transactions. Also get billed this higher rate if you don’t use address verification service (AVS) when you manually enter transactions.

Other fees many merchant account providers charge their business customers include, but are not limited to the following:

Reward Cards- most merchant providers charge higher rates if the consumer pays using a reward card.

Transaction Fees- a specific, flat rate that is paid on every sale processed through the credit card processor. (Sometimes the transaction fee is called the interchange fee, authorization fee, or per inquiry fee).

Address Verification Service (AVS)- merchant account providers charge a small fee for the validation service to ensure that the billing address provided in the online checkout process matches the issuing bank’s records. Not using this service will result in hefty charges on the processing of the card for that sale.

Batch Fees- most merchant account providers require that customers close out their transactions a minimum of one time each day. The batch fee pays for expenses for the gateway or software that accesses the credit card processing network. If you don’t have transactions to process, there is no batch fee to pay.

Monthly Statement or Customer Service Fee – most merchant account providers charge a monthly fee in order to cover their monthly costs of operation (paying their customer service team for example).

Monthly Minimum Fee- some merchant account providers require you process a minimum amounts of sales per month, or you pay a monthly minimum. Monthly minimums tend to range between $15 and $40 per month.

Gateway Fees- for some merchant accounts, there are fees for internet and mail order merchants to use an internet gateway service such as Authorize.net, although some merchant providers will cover this fee on their customer’s behalf as part of the package deal. If you are solely an internet business, you’ll want to look for an internet merchant account that includes the gateway service as part of the package.

Annual Fees- often charged by merchant account providers- particularly the merchant account providers that offer free terminal equipment. There are numerous merchant account providers that do not charge an annual fee, so you may want to shop around if the first few you look at require an annual fee. Sometimes it would be cheaper to purchase the equipment than to pay an ongoing annual fee.

Cancellation/Termination Fees- Most merchant accounts require a contract agreement of one or two years and if you cancel early, you are likely to be charged a termination fee.

Chargeback/Retrieval Fees- When a customer requests a refund (or the customer’s credit card issuer requests a refund), merchant account providers typically charge a “chargeback” fee.

This article has been provided by Creditor Web. If not, isn’t it time you got one? The companies you compete against for customer business may already have this special account that allows them to process customers’ credit payments. If you are not yet doing so, why not apply for a merchant account to help your business grow?

A business merchant account is the best way to expand your company’s operations and conduct e-commerce without risking too much of an investment. Simply apply for a merchant account the way an individual would apply for a personal credit card. As with individual applicants, a company needs to show a positive credit history and the ability to make payments on a merchant account at present. In addition, it cannot be involved in shady dealings with which the underwriters might not agree. Many lenders will let you apply online, although some charge a fee for this. Often you will get a decision on your application within a day or two. If approved, you can begin making arrangements to accept credit payments in a variety of ways. Pay attention to fees and payment terms. For example, you may be asked to pay 15 to 25 cents per transaction. Or you could have the choice of paying a low overall percentage rate. Some lenders impose minimums, though, meaning you will have to pay a “bottom line” fee no matter how many transactions you make.

Your business merchant account will let you purchase or lease a credit card processor that can be plugged into your store. Or you can take a wireless version with you when collecting payments from other locations. Many business owners prefer to use a telephone ordering and payment system. This can be automated, reducing the need for staffing except for questions or glitches. Customers can speak or touch-dial their credit card numbers into the phone to process orders at their convenience. You will need to make sure your system is fully operational at all times and that it is customer-friendly to keep from annoying or even driving away current or new clients.

When you utilize a business merchant account, you can receive a printed monthly statement, discounts for other services, and occasional other benefits as well. Being able to accept credit card payments suggests that customers will look at you a little differently, knowing that you have earned an underwriter’s trust for this important role. Posting signs for accepting credit card payments places your company in the ranks of the elite, since many smaller or newer companies do not yet enjoy this privilege. When you begin accepting credit card processing, you can move away from cash-only payments or checks that can bounce. The time saved from managing cash flow can be channeled into more meaningful tasks.

Getting a merchant account means that you’re ready to upgrade your business, and that you are taking extra steps to accommodate your customers. Be proud to receive a merchant account, knowing that not everyone is approved. Handle it responsibly, since you have much to be thankful for with your new business merchant account.

Shane Penrod is an expert author and owner of http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com A merchant services resource site where you can shop and compare quotes from national leading merchant account providers.
